Early 20th century. Midwest US origin. Rare pair of matching handmade cloth Amish toy horses made by the same hand. Made of wool fabic, rag stuffed, with clothespin hoofs and legs, shoe button eyes, cut wool manes, braided tails. One in black and one in brown. In very good condition, each with one small mend. Each measures 10" long, from nose to tail, by 9" high, from hoof to ear tips.
