19th Century. American. Has a wood handle inserted into heavy pottery yellowware. The base reads in raised letters "Pat'd Dec 25, 1877". There are three small raised nobs on the bottom with one nob partially missing. Minor chips. Measures 10 1/2" high by 3" across bottom. (R)
