Circa 1875. Polychromed lithographed Chair that converts to a game table is probably early Bliss which is both rare and highly collectable. The introduction of beautifully designed lithograph paper applied to wood was an easy and inexpensive way of creating wonderful play things to entice children. Bliss was very special and is still considered so by adults that still love beautiful early children’s toys. The chair is stamped no.48. It measures 8” long by 6 1/2" deep by 6 1/2" tall. t is in excellent condition for its age and rarity. The screws under the table appear to have been changed. (P)
