18th to very early 19th century. Northeastern US origin. Hand carved hardwood with square iron spikes with traces of early salmon paint. Nice dark untouched patina, well worn paint, and great wear and grunge. Has three very early holes for hanging. Measures 15 3/4" long by 5 1/4" wide by 4 1/2" thick.
