Mid 19th century. New England origin. Super early oxblood red over original teal blue paint. Untouched surface. Dry with lovely warm patina. The top has a worn wood surface with little paint, but nice patina. A few bits of wood missing at edges, but nothing that detracts from the overall look. A few very old nails replaced on the lid rim. Measures 11 1/2" across top by 7" tall. (R)
